IMPORT SUBSTITUTION AND MANUFACTURING

IMPORT SUBSTITUTION, VALUE ADDITION, AND MANUFACTURING

The onset of the Corona Virus Pandemic opened a window of opportunity to us through the production of hand sanitizers. Through our partnerships in China, our experts help us navigate the importation ban by producing our hand sanitizers, shampoo, liquid wash, and multipurpose soap within Nigeria, affording other small-scale manufacturers the opportunity to partner with us for their production process. To reduce our economic dependence on imports and to encourage local production, the Nigerian government as of 2021 still bans the importation of staple foods like rice, creating a demand of over 9 million tonnes of processed rice. To meet up with this demand locally and for export purposes, some of our value addition and import substitution plans include:

  • A rice plant where we mill rice paddy into fully processed rice.
  • Palm oil processing
  • Live chicken processing into frozen chicken
  • Processing live fishes (Titus, Herring, Cote, etc) into frozen fishes.
  • Table water bottling in Ijebu
  • Crude mining and processing of solid minerals for exports
  • Steel rolling mill for manufacturing of nails, steel rods, aluminum wires, etc
  • Plastic for the production of plastic plants, pillowcases, baby toys, fibers, and related raw materials plastic recycling plants.
  • Plastic-to-diesel distillation plant
